How ancient memories do influence our daily life, while the meaning of our insomnias, anxieties and fears eludes any logical analysis. What we experienced, but haven’t understood yet, turns into an imaginary and symbolic image appearing in our dreams, waiting to be unveiled. The study of C. G. Jung’s Red Book opened this search of mine, which led me for several months into experimenting a dimension of continuity between a conscious awareness and oneiric images. I went deeply into listening the feelings brought by dreams, did a drawing every day and searched the same feelings within my photos.

Images follow one another, emerging from the deep, switching between positive and negative, up and down, high and low. Focusing attention in order to give voice and space to this ‘other’ world, so intimately ours, means bringing light to our dark side, tracing lines and giving new boundaries to a personal experience, nourishing the sense of non-sense. Presence and reappropriation: a direction so necessary to our fragmented contemporary life, as well as to reconciliate with our own shadows.
