After his master degree in architecture at Politecnico di Milano, Stefano Lodesani moved to San Francisco, California to attend the CCAC (California College of Artand Craft) and Berkeley University where he further consolidated the foundations for his career.
In 2010 he founded Stefano Lodesani Studio signing projects for prestigious fashion brands worldwide. He designs showrooms and exhibition booths mainly in China and Southeast Asia. He also has created the concept for a gelato shops chain. In addition to architecture, Stefano Lodesani cultivates his passion for design and graphics by obtaining publications on the ADI Design Index and on the Compasso d'Oro catalog.
His debut in the art world started with the exhibition design “Confessionali” for the photographer Michael Kenna, an experience consolidated in 2019 with the design of the exhibition dedicated to the painter Antonio Fontanesi.
Alkemia Bologna 2019 and Milano 2020
Stefano Lodesani Studio was called to take care of the exhibition Alkemia also for the Fuorisalone 2020 in Milano after the project for the Bologna Design Week 2019.
Two connected projects. The main topic of the design project is both color and light. The colors chosen to characterize the exhibition spaces are white, red and black which according to alchemical thought represent the three fundamental states of material.
The exhibition follows the eco-sustainable approach of Digital Detox Design. It was therefore chosen to use materials with a lower environmental impact such as fabrics, wood, metal and industrial cardboard tubes, materials redesigned and adapted to the design needs. A true experiential journey capable of involving all the senses of the visitor in a succession of lights, colors, scents, materials and sounds designed to experience the meaning of discovery, the alchemy.
